Polymer Chemistry · Hanoi University of Science and Technology
Tran Minh Duc is a PhD candidate in Polymer Chemistry at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, supervised by Prof. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang. His thesis develops biodegradable polyhydroxyalkanoate-polylactic acid blend formulations with controlled mechanical and barrier properties for single-use medical packaging, characterising degradation behaviour under hospital sterilisation conditions. Seven publications in Polymer Degradation and Stability and Green Chemistry reflect his materials characterisation work. Tran collaborated with Vinaplast, a Ho Chi Minh City-based polymer processor, on pilot production runs, and received an ASEAN-Korea scholarship for a research exchange at KAIST. He has accepted a polymer development role at a medical packaging manufacturer in Hanoi. His PHA-PLA blends meet ISO 10993 biocompatibility requirements for direct patient contact applications.
