Henrik Andersen
Ocean Engineering · Technical University of Denmark
Henrik Andersen is a PhD candidate in Ocean Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark, supervised by Prof. Henrik Bredmose. His thesis develops coupled aero-elastic and hydrodynamic simulation frameworks for semi-submersible floating offshore wind turbines in North Sea metocean conditions, validating numerical predictions against scale-model wave basin experiments. Eleven publications in Ocean Engineering and Renewable Energy document his simulation methodology and experimental campaigns. Henrik participated in the LIFES50+ European floating wind consortium and completed a research exchange at NREL in Colorado. He has been recruited by Equinor's floating wind technology team for a structural dynamics engineer role on their commercial floating wind portfolio. His simulation framework is the reference model for two planned North Sea floating wind demonstration projects.
