Fatima Al-Rashidi

Petroleum Engineering · King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals

Fatima Al-Rashidi is a PhD candidate in Petroleum Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, supervised by Prof. Ibnelwaleed Hussein. Her thesis evaluates CO2-foam enhanced oil recovery performance in heterogeneous carbonate reservoirs, combining core flooding experiments, CT scanning and compositional reservoir simulation to optimise injection strategies for mature Saudi Arabian fields. Nine publications in the SPE Journal and Fuel report her laboratory findings and simulation workflows. Fatima is sponsored by Saudi Aramco's upstream research and development division and has completed two summer rotations with their reservoir management team. She has accepted a full-time reservoir engineer position at Aramco upon graduation and contributed to a landmark CO2 sequestration pilot study in the Ghawar field.
